OUR LOVE STORY

How We Met
~2022~

We crossed paths one day, and we began to speak to each other even though we lived apart. Being within the same city made it easier for us to meet. When Kendra invited me over to her place, I bought her a Big Mac Meal from McDonalds with a coke, not knowing that she hates almost all kinds of sauces out there. Little did I know under the hatred of most foods, her bubbliness and EXTREMELY CUTE FACE, and willingness to see me not for who I wasn't but for who I am, something clicked. We found that in each other, life wasn't about just focusing on the flaws within, but where the heart and connection lie is most important.

Together At Last
~06.04.2022~

After a few weeks of talking, things became official. We had lots of hang-outs at each other's apartments, and we went on lots of spontaneous road trips to Regina and Winnipeg, or wherever the road took us. Eventually, we made the decision to move in together when we were both ready to do so.

Our first cat, Storie, joined our family August of 2023. She made us closer than ever, and it felt like we were really starting a family of our own. Our second cat, Millie, joined our family August of 2024, and thus our family remains to this very day.

Nathanial is so sweet and makes me feel so special and safe. He is my gentle giant who loves me for who I am and is always there to support me no matter what life brings my way. He is also a great cat dad to our two beautiful cat daughters.

The Proposal
~06.24.2024~

I knew she was the one. We had lived with each other long enough that everything felt normal. Our relationship was phenomenal, and things were looking bright. So, I knew I had to ask her. After getting her mother's blessing, I began planning the proposal.

We had planned a trip to Alberta, and with my sister tagging along for the trip, we had a lot of things to do. I bought her a ring, and we went on the trip. We had planned to go up the Banff Gondola prior, and I knew I wanted to ask her on the peak of the mountain. However, the proposal almost got postponed because Kendra lost our tickets, but it was okay because the people at the gondola helped us recover our tickets.

We went up the gondola and we were all panicking cause it was our first time going up something like that. We got to the top of the gondola, and while we didn't make it to the peak due to being out of shape, we found a gorgeous look-out.

Me, being super shy because there was SO MANY PEOPLE AROUND, I knelt on my knee and quietly begged the question. To my joy, she said "Yes!" and the rest is history.
